Rigleen Fanfic Chapter 2.

Chapter 2

Eileen's been the same for the past two days. I've been thinking of asking Margaret for her number to call her but couldn't work up to it.

"C'mon dude! You've been in there for an hour already!" I could hear Mordecai yelling from outside. I didn't feel like coming out of the shower! He took like three hours when Mordecai thought Margaret was dating and I wasn't complaining. Well, actually I was but still…That's different!
"Alright, fine. I'm coming," I yelled. I dried myself off and walked out to find Mordecai staring at me with the stupidest expression. "What?"
"Wow, you really like her."

"Stop talking!"

"Rigby! Listen to me! I know what you were doing in that shower bro. You were thinking about Eileen!" I stayed quiet.

"It's 5 o clock, you still have an hour til the coffee shop closes. Go see here dude!"

"No way man. I don't want to be annoying."

"You're always annoying anyways, Rigby. I'll drive you." I sighed, thinking if I should go or not. I was concerned about Eileen but I don't want to admit it to Mordecai. Romance isn't my thing and he knows it.

"Fine, let's go"

We got in the cart and headed over to the coffee shop. It was already emptying out when we arrived.

"I'll be back in 30 minutes," Mordecai said as he drove the cart over to Cheeserz.

"Get me some cheese fries!" I yelled.

I walked into the coffee shop and saw Margaret wiping off the tables.

"Hey Margaret."

"Oh, hi Rigby! What're you doing here?"

"Where's Eileen?"

Margaret's facial expression drooped.

"She's out back. She hasn't been feeling well lately."

"Yeah. That's why I'm here."

"That's sweet of you to cheer her up. The door should be unlocked. You can go through the kitchen."

I walked through the dark kitchen. Smelling the coffee beans made me thirsty. I opened the door to the back lot and saw Eileen sitting on a box looking down at the floor. She didn't even bother looking up.

"Eileen?" She looked up at me shocked.

"Rigby! What're you doing here?"

"Just stopping by"

"Rigby, you never 'stop by.' Why are you really here?"

"What! A guy can't just come and stop by once in a while, sheesh!" I sat down on another cardboard box next to hers. I glanced around to see if anyone were watching us. We were silent for a while until I decided to say something.

"Have any cool things to talk about?"

"Not really." I couldn't take it.

"Eileen, what's the matter with you! You always have cool stuff to talk about and lately you've just been really…sad." She readjusted her glasses.

"I told you! I haven't been sleeping well lately!"

"Why?"

"I don't know!" I think that might have been the first time I heard Eileen say "I don't know." She usually knows everything.

"I think you know. You're just not telling me!"

"Why do you care Rigby! You hate me no matter what I say or what I do!" It went silent. I wasn't sure what to respond. She thought I hated her? Well, I do hater her… no wait I mean. I don’t know anymore! I hate her, but I love her.

"Eileen. I don't hate you."  I could hear her sniffling and see the tears coming down her eyes.

"Yes. You do! You never think I'm cool and you think I'm ugly and annoying."

"Eileen! Just tell me what's wrong!"

"You Rigby! It's you that's the matter!" I was utterly confused. She stormed away to the parking lot and went inside Margaret's car and started sobbing in the backseat. I sighed and decided to leave her alone, for now. I walked back out to the front where Mordecai was waiting with cheese fries.

"So how'd it go?"

"Terrible." I could feel something cold drip from my eye. A tear.
